At Umagine, social impact means significant and lasting change to people’s lives — positive or negative — as a result of decisions and actions by organisations, governments, businesses, or individuals. We focus exclusively on creating positive, sustainable change for vulnerable people. There is no impact from intent alone. Making it happen is what actually changes lives.

Umagine was founded in 2018 with the vision of closing the implementation gap in Australian social change programs — and changing the lives of vulnerable people by ensuring the programs designed for them actually reaches them.

Umagine is not a registered charity. We operate as a for-purpose business providing professional social impact implementation services. Our for-purpose model means that our commercial success is directly tied to the quality and reach of the social impact we help deliver.

Ultimately, the people at the centre of the programs we deliver are: 

• Children, young people, and families
• People experiencing homelessness
• People with a Disability
• First Nations people and communities

We aim to reach as many of these people as possible through our delivery partnerships with government, NGOs, and corporate organisations. Our direct clients are the organisations responsible for social change programs. 

Umagine is Australia’s social impact implementation partner. We take social change change programs from design to delivery. We co-design programs, build delivery architecture, lead implementation, embed governance, and transfer capability. We go beyond insights and strategy. Our Social Change Implementation System (SCIS) fills the gap between program strategy and delivery. It is a flexible, modular co-delivery system. Umagine works inside the SCIS, and alongside you.

The four modules are: 

1. Readiness Assessment
2. Transition Planning
3. Implementation
4. Capacity Building

This means that the SCIS can be a single module or an end-to-end partnership. We can partner with you in the SCIS at any individual stage or as a full end-to-end partnership depending on where your program needs the most support.

Yes. We charge fees for our services with the objective that an investment in Umagine’s implementation capability delivers a multiplier effect in social impact. We offer reduced rates for NGOs and community organisations, and our SCIS model is adaptable to client needs. 

Umagine is based in Brisbane and works across Australia. Our previous work has required delivery into most states and territories, and at national scale.
